myrow recently launched its 22” full-color Smart HD touchscreen tablet that attaches to Concept2 RowErgs, giving you access to streamed classes, tutorials, training plans and a community of rowers to workout with.
The myrow tablet is easy to connect to the Concept2 RowErg and offers classes from people with various rowing specialties including Concept2 master instructor Shane Farmer, founder of Dark Horse Rowing and a leading indoor rowing educator. In addition to Shane, there’s also Tom Miazga, US Paralympian in swimming at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 7-time CrossFit “Fittest Seated Man”, who leads an adaptive series of workouts. John Breen, former assistant coach for the University of Pennsylvania women’s rowing team, leads workouts for people with neuro-cognitive and neuro-degenerative disorders, including autism, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and ALS. There are also non-rowing workouts, such as Pilates.
The myrow tablet comes preloaded with over 85 video workouts, including FTP Zone workouts, a large selection of preset workouts and training plans (non-videos); the workout library will continue to grow over time. In addition to the trainer-led workouts there are also tutorials for beginners, training plans, challenges, Concept2's Workout of the Day, and the ability to create your own workouts.
The tablet also provides the user with robust stats and analytics all in one place. Additionally, myrow users can sync with Concept2’s Online Logbook from the myrow tablet and connect to other users for group rows.
“Whether you’re a world class athlete or simply enjoy rowing at home, myrow is the perfect workout companion, said myrow founder Gary Simpson. He added, “myrow is a game changer for rowing enthusiasts who already trust the quality of the Concept2 and want a modern interactive training program, led by top notch trainers in the rowing field.”
The myrow tablet comes with the mounting arm and all tools and hardware for installation on the Concept2 Model C Indoor Rower or later, with a PM5.
